Neighbourhood highlights
You could not be more central to Lincoln’s historic centre. Cathedral, Castle, Bailgate and Steep Hill are moments away.
Parking (park up & explore)
The real joy of this house is its unbeatable location. Once you’ve parked up, you can forget the car because the Cathedral, Castle, shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are all an easy walk away. Taxis and buses are also easy to use. We provide one visitor parking permit for nearby residents’ parking (a short walk away). You may stop briefly outside the house to load/unload, but waiting is not permitted and tickets are issued quickly. There is also a public car park in Castle Square (about 1 minute away). With the visitor permit you can park there overnight (5pm–9.30am) and all day Sunday—please move to a residents’ space at other times.
Dogs welcome
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, by arrangement. Please note there is no garden, only a paved patio, so dogs will need walks to nearby green spaces.
Quiet neighbourhood
We’re on a quiet cobbled street with neighbours close by, so the house isn’t suitable for parties and we ask guests to keep outside noise down after 10pm.
Sounds (Cathedral bells + occasional city-centre life)
We’re tucked just behind Castle Square in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter - usually very quiet and peaceful. You’ll hear the Cathedral bells (a favourite for many guests), including morning chimes from 7am. As with any central location, you may very occasionally notice a little late-night street noise.
