I just want to say that Joy’s house is totally stunning. Absolutely 5* all the way.
I visited with two friends for a spot of culture and Xmas shopping. The location of the house is as good as it gets, a stone’s throw from the Cathedral, castle, and wonderful little shops.

What we particularly liked was the standard of the house. Every room was decorated beautifully with lovely soft furnishings, paintings, artwork and much more.
The kitchen was well stocked for self-catering. Joy kindly provided us with a great selection of teas and coffees and milk etc (there’s three ways of making coffee here !!) We even had dishwasher tablets if we needed them.
My friends and I enjoyed lunching in the superb dining room and chilling out in the beautiful ,cosy lounge . There are three gorgeous bedrooms and mine had a French door opening onto a little walled terrace ( a fab asset in summer). Great view of the cathedral too.
To sum up, it was perfect. The location, the elegant interior, the communication with Joy and the ease of check in.
I would not hesitate to stay again. A magical stay. Thankyou Joy.
